Someone close to me recently asked me how to stop playing the “victim” role.

After thinking for a few seconds I answered:

By realizing that NOTHING anybody does (good or bad) is about YOU.

People are just giving you from whatever is in their bag and if what they gave you was ugly- ugly is what their bag was filled with.

For if they had had something else to give, they would have..

So judge not what they did but observe that only those who are overwhelmed by their own pain are capable of inflicting it on others..

And that what someone does to you speaks volumes about them, but how you decide to react defines who YOU are.

And freedom is only available to those willing to forever surrender their stories about being a fragile secondary character in a book of their own creation.
