“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great makes you feel that you, too, can become great.” — Mark Twain
Not all of us have set up our standards to the same level, this is why people who are within their comfort zone become judgmental when we aim much higher than them. It makes them insecure to think we can succeed, so they try to sabotage our ambitions. Stay away from those people and surround yourself with people like you, committed to a journey of excellence and self-discovery.
They say we are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with, they also say that if you’re the smartest person in the room you’re probably in the wrong room. In the same way a flower cannot flourish without good terrain and sun, you will find it challenging to move forward if your environment isn’t supporting your transformation journey.
Ask yourself: Is this the most inspiring environment I could be in? if not, do something about it!
You’re never the one who leaves your friends, they are the ones who fall behind.
